NATROX® Wound Care is delighted to announce the appointment of globally recognised wound care and biofilm expert, Dr. Gregory Schultz, as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).
Dr. Schultz is Professor Emeritus at the University of Florida where he served as Director of the Institute for Wound Research and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida. His extensive research primarily focuses on the regulators of normal wound healing and understanding the role bacterial biofilms and proteases play in impairing wound healing. Dr Schultz has authored or co-authored over 400 publications that have been cited over 23,000 times. He has received $38 million in grant support as a principal- or co-investigator and is an inventor on 36 patents and was elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. He served as President of the Wound Healing Society and served on the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel.
Craig Kennedy, CEO at NATROX® Wound Care, revealed, “Dr. Schultz is a fantastic addition to our team and adds scientific credibility to our technologies. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our innovative oxygen therapy business and develop next-generation technologies aimed at supporting clinicians and empowering patients who suffer from chronic wounds.”
Dr. Schultz added, “Chronic wounds are a major worldwide healthcare burden and cause significant stress and discomfort for patients. I am excited to be part of the NATROX® Wound Care team, who are truly committed to delivering innovative and unique solutions to improve clinical outcomes.”
Dr. Schultz joins the NATROX® Wound Care team immediately and will be heavily involved in their continued quest to improve the quality of life for people who suffer with chronic wounds and have had little success with available wound therapies.
