Diabetic Foot Ulcerations and Other Foot Lesions

This case study details the treatment journey of a 71-year-old male with a diabetic ulceration above the right Achilles heel, present since October 2015. Despite initial therapies, including hydrogel, medical honey, and Silvercell, the wound showed no significant improvement until the introduction of LIGASANO® in April 2016. Under this regimen, substantial progress was observed, with reduced fibrin coatings, improved granulation, and consistent healing. By July 2016, the wound had significantly reduced in size, demonstrating gradual granulation and epithelization. Complete healing was achieved by November 2016, highlighting the effectiveness of LIGASANO® in managing chronic diabetic wounds.
