Swift Medical, a digital wound care company, has launched the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital wound care platform, Skin & Wound 2 platform.

Skin & Wound 2 platform is designed for patient assessments across home health, ambulatory, acute, and skilled nursing settings.

According to Toronto-based Swift Medical, the offering has more than 22 peer-reviewed publications. The platform delivers results in accuracy, equitable AI, and enhanced healing rates.

Swift Medical CEO Dwayne Sansone said: “Skin & Wound 2 demonstrates our continued commitment to empowering clinicians with the most advanced tools available, enabling the delivery of superior wound care outcomes.

“For nearly a decade, Swift Medical has been committed to delivering an inclusive, unbiased approach to digital wound care.

“We see it as our moral responsibility to harness the power of generative AI to revolutionise patient diagnostics, ensuring highly accurate results for every skin tone.

“Our mission is to Heal Our World Faster by leveraging AI to ensure that every patient, regardless of their background, receives the most precise and equitable care possible.”

Skin & Wound 2 is designed for the evolving healthcare landscape, leveraging Swift Medical’s patented AI technologies.

This advanced platform incorporates the latest FHIR standards and offers imaging and documentation tools.

In addition, the wound care platforms integrate with EMR platforms like Homecare Homebase. Users benefit from a modern interface that enables quick evaluations and delivers submillimetre accuracy.

Swift Medical chief strategy officer Scott Pattillo said: “Homecare Homebase has been the leader in integrating the most advanced and reliable patient-focused technologies.

“Our deeply collaborative partnership with Swift provides our customers with the best digital wound care solution in the market to help patients heal faster.”

In 2024, Swift achieved over 600,000 wound care evaluations in a month, conducted by more than 21,000 clinicians.

The new platform will facilitate the rapid rollout of features, including several capabilities set to launch in the coming year.

Swift Medical has delivered its AI-based solutions to over 4,800 facilities. These tools enhance the prevention, treatment, and management of wounds across the continuum of care.

In January this year, the digital health technology company closed an $8m for further growth.
