Stryker, a medical technology company, has launched the ProCeed hospital bed to deliver efficient and quality care in markets outside the US.
The ProCeed bed is built to withstand heavy workloads and provide a direct experience for healthcare staff.
Stryker said the ProCeed bed is durable, easy to clean, and designed to support patient care needs.
ProCeed enhances safety for both patients and care teams with thoughtful design features.
Its low bed height supports patient mobility and minimises fall risks. The fifth wheel, located at the bed’s core, reduces push force and provides steering support to prevent caregiver back injuries.
Additionally, the bed offers two headboard options, one that stays stationary during tilting of the bed frame, and a mobile headboard that moves with the bed’s frame as it adjusts into various positions.
Stryker Acute Care business vice president and general manager Scott Sagehorn said: “As we designed ProCeed, helping keep clinicians and patients safe while allowing for an efficient and easy-to-use platform was key.
“Launching a bed that meets the needs of staff and patients in these markets will help deliver consistent and quality care.”
In a similar development, Agiliti unveiled Essentia, a multi-acuity bed frame designed to accommodate a wide range of patients across different hospital environments.
Agiliti is a US-based manufacturer and provider of medical device solutions and Essentia is the latest addition to its portfolio of self-manufactured beds and therapeutic support surfaces.
Stryker, on the other hand, recently announced an agreement to divest its US spinal implants business to Viscogliosi Brothers to create a newly formed company called VB Spine.
