Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, a healthcare institution in Karnataka, India, has entered into an agreement with New York-based Mount Sinai Health System to enhance speciality care development, quality, and technological advancements.

The partnership is aimed at advancing healthcare services through joint efforts in clinical excellence, quality of care, research, innovation, and technology.

It is anticipated to bring benefits to patients in India and across the region.

Mount Sinai International president Szabi Dorotovics said: “It is in the spirit of Kempe Gowda – the founder of Bengaluru – who, to this day, is remembered for enabling the citizens of Bengaluru enhance their development and prosperity, that Mount Sinai and the Ramaiah Memorial Hospital have now forged our long-term collaboration and partnership.

Under the terms of this long-term agreement, Mount Sinai Health System will provide comprehensive support to Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, a multi-super-specialty quaternary care hospital.

Ramaiah Memorial Hospital will use Mount Sinai Health System’s support to enhance its clinical capabilities and centres of excellence in specialised fields like oncology, cardiology, neurosciences, urology-nephrology, and other clinical specialities.

The collaboration involves the regular review of complex clinical cases at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital by clinical experts from both institutions.

Additionally, the initiative is expected to facilitate optimal treatment decisions for patients using specialists across various clinical disciplines.

Last month, Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida collaborated with virtual care management platform HealthSnap to support its chronic disease management programmes.
