China-based digital healthcare platform Ping An Healthcare and Technology (Ping An) has partnered with Medtronic’s Chinese subsidiary Medtronic (Shanghai) Management.
Under the collaboration, the two companies will leverage their respective strengths in cardiac health, chronic disease therapies, and medical clinical training to improve healthcare service.
The partnership between Ping An Health and Medtronic is expected to further promote the integrated development of medical technology and health services.
Medtronic will leverage its expertise in cardiac health, chronic disease management, and therapeutics to enhance the capabilities of ‘Ping An Family Doctor’.
Ping An Family Doctor is a membership-based health management services system that provides different services through the support of a dedicated family doctor.
Currently, the collaboration opened a ‘Chest Pain Health Management Centre’, which integrates professional resources from both companies.
The facility offers online consultations, expert advice, and health education services to provide users with knowledge and awareness about diseases.
A Ping An Health representative said: “As the flagship of Ping An’s healthcare and elderly care ecosystem, Ping An Health is committed to building two main strategic pillars, “family doctor” and “elderly care concierges”.
“In recent years, it has become a professional, comprehensive, high-quality, and one-stop provider of healthcare and elderly care management services, accumulating a broad and solid user base.”
Earlier this year, Ping An Health upgraded its ‘Ping An Family Doctor’ service by launching the 1-1-3-12 one-stop proactive health management service system.
The healthcare company also introduced the user service commitment of ‘proactive health management, effective chronic disease control, and whole-course disease management’.
Ping An Health and Medtronic will jointly work to optimise the service process, enhance user experience, advance disease therapies, and popularise healthcare.
In the future, the two companies will fully leverage their strengths to advance in-depth cooperation in disease therapies, health management, and technological innovation.
Also, they are planning to implement the ‘Digital China’ and ‘Healthy China’ strategies.
