US-based in-home safety technology provider Nomo Smart Care has launched an AI-powered safety solution to advance in-home care without compromising privacy.

Unlike traditional systems, which depend on invasive cameras, Nomo’s intelligent sensors monitor activity and detect unusual patterns.

The Nomo Smart Care system comprises a hub, satellites, and tags that work together to monitor daily activities, track routines, detect falls, and flag irregularities.

Also, it delivers the information to caregivers in real-time through the company’s Nomo app, allowing them to stay connected regardless of their location.

Nomo Smart Care president David Baer said: “Caregivers are often stretched between their responsibilities at home and work, all while worrying about the safety of their loved ones.

“Nomo Smart Care is here to ease that burden by providing the tools families need to feel confident that their loved ones are safe, cared for, and living with independence.

“It’s not just about safety – it’s about preserving dignity and creating peace of mind for everyone involved.”

The key features of the new AI-powered safety solution include fall detection, routine monitoring, and privacy-first technology.

It detects potential falls and sends immediate alerts, allowing caregivers to respond swiftly.

Also, the system tracks essential daily activities and notifies caregivers if something is amiss, using advanced motion sensing instead of cameras to protect privacy.

Nomo’s proactive care approach tracks changes in routines or behaviours, allowing caregivers to address potential issues before they escalate.

The solution’s real-time alerts through the Nomo app will keep caregivers informed and ready to act when necessary.

It also connects to local emergency services to offer help when needed.

Nomo offers health monitoring solutions and enhancements, including connected blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, a GPS tracking device, and a medical alert bracelet.
