Anaesthesia care provider US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) has been selected by Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) in Naples, Florida, to deliver anaesthesia services.

The long-term agreement covers anaesthesia services at NCH’s two hospitals and various surgical facilities in the area.

USAP will handle a wide range of cases, including general procedures, surgeries, OB infant delivery, and cardiac surgery.

The partnership aims to boost clinical efficiency and optimise scheduling. This collaboration will enhance the overall patient experience at NCH.

NCH chief performance management officer Matt Stacell said: “We’re excited to work with USAP to strengthen our capability to serve patients in Southwest Florida.

“NCH is focused on high-quality, comprehensive care, which includes predictable anaesthesia expertise available 24/7 to serve patients across a wide variety of procedures.

“Our growth plans include expanding our OR capacity over the next two years, so we require a partner that will be flexible. We have found USAP to be that reliable resource and we look forward to working with them to continue to serve our patients and community.”

As part of the collaboration, USAP will employ the current anaesthesia providers at NCH facilities. USAP also plans to hire additional clinicians over time.

The partnership is also expected to enhance NCH’s efforts to evolve and improve patient care.

USAP is a physician-owned and clinician-led organisation that delivers anaesthesia services. It operates in over 700 inpatient and outpatient facilities nationwide.

The firm has a team of anaesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetists (CRNAs), and Certified Anaesthesia Assistants (CAAs).

Naples Comprehensive Health is a locally governed non-profit organisation and an advanced community health system.

NCH anesthesia chair Karl Horsten said: “The USAP approach embraces a practical philosophy, empowering local established clinicians to lead.

“There is meaningful emphasis on clinical quality, as well as operational efficiency and collaboration. This supports the best patient experience possible and enables a sustainable environment for the hospital and health care in general.”

In 2021, USAP signed a long-term agreement with CIGNA HealthCare of Florida for anaesthesia care.
