Clinical analytics provider KAID Health and Michigan-based healthcare provider Park Medical Centers (PMC) have entered into a partnership with an objective to enhance medical coding accuracy, efficiency, and care quality.
KAID Health offers advanced technology solutions to automate various workflows, such as coding, quality measurement, prior authorisation support, and preoperative assessment.
These services cater to health systems, academic medical centres, and other healthcare providers.
The partnership will use KAID Health’s artificial intelligence (AI) and medical coders to support Park Medical Centers in improving the delivery of empathetic care across the metro-Detroit area in the US.
The integration of KAID Health ensures that all data within Park Medical Centers’ electronic medical record (EMR) will support accuracy in billing.
It will also enable appropriate monitoring of care quality data, while simplifying administrative processes.
Park Medical Centers CEO Jeffrey Brown said: “We are very pleased with KAID’s performance in helping us meet our quality and coding goals.”
KAID Health utilises advanced technology like the Whole Chart Analysis platform and PRIDE module, which was launched in February this year.
These technologies are adopted by provider organisations in the US to extract essential data from their electronic medical records systems.
The Whole Chart Analysis platform identifies the necessary patient care interventions that enable providers to meet their clinical, financial, or operational objectives.
Through secure and equitable artificial intelligence (AI) applications, the medical technology solutions provider ensures that care providers and their supporting staff access timely and right information for effective decision-making.
Unlike encounter-centric coding approaches, KAID Health uses current and past data to enhance its analytics.
Additionally, the firm’s coding services group utilises the technology to maintain standards of medical coding accuracy and completeness.
KAID Health CEO Kevin Agatstein said: “KAID Health’s mission has always been to use data to improve medical coding, healthcare operations and clinical care. We are humbled by the opportunity to help Park Medical Centers serve the people of Michigan.
“New technologies alone do not make patients better, but they can help those trusted front-line care givers and staff in ever more valuable ways.”
