Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, Washington, has selected the Meditech Expanse electronic health record (EHR) system to modernise its care delivery.
The implementation of the EHR system is part of a 33-year partnership with Meditech.
The partnership aims to enhance patient experience and streamline clinician workflows through the cloud-based Meditech-as-a-Service (MaaS) subscription model.
Medtech Expanse will consolidate disparate EHR systems into a single, integrated solution, including Expanse Ambulatory and Home Care.
The integration will create a unified source for patient-centred care and facilitate open data sharing via the Meditech Traverse Exchange interoperability network.
It extends the collaboration with local hospitals and beyond.

Harbor Regional Health’s decision to implement Expanse is a strategic step towards a more mobile, patient-centric approach.
The platform will ensure transparency across the care continuum, from labs and imaging to emergency and surgery.
Patients will benefit from a singular integrated portal, providing easy access to health data and communication with providers.
The platform’s centralised reporting capabilities will enable the organisation to measure the impact of proactive interventions for high-risk patients, particularly those with chronic diseases like diabetes and congestive heart failure.

Last month, The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. (CHCC) adopted the Meditech Expanse EHR system to enhance patient care throughout its organisation.
Meditech Expanse will provide CHCC with a unified patient record, accessible on mobile devices, enabling clinicians to document care in real time.
