Happy Sleep, the maker of the Happy Ring, has partnered with telehealth dental services provider Dentulu to offer a comprehensive solution for sleep apnoea diagnosis and treatment.
The partnership will create a first-of-a-kind integrated sleep apnoea solution. It will combine custom oral appliance therapy, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), and other treatment options.
Dentulu’s network of licensed dentists will provide Happy Sleep patients with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved mandibular advancement devices for obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).
The partnership also supports nationwide access to sleep apnoea evaluations, diagnosis, therapy and remote patient monitoring via a fully integrated and patient-centred approach.
Happy Sleep, part of Happy Health, said most insurance plans cover both testing and oral appliances, making OSA treatment more affordable and accessible.
Its ring is supported by a nationwide network of sleep physicians, offering screening and diagnosis for sleep disorders. It was cleared by the FDA in October this year.
Happy Sleep CEO Dustin Freckleton said: “There’s nothing quite like resting in your own bed. And nowhere is this better understood than in sleep medicine. We’re thrilled to be ushering in a new era of healthcare, starting with sleep medicine.”
The partnership between Happy Sleep and Dentulu offers several key components designed to improve sleep apnoea care.
Happy Sleep provides FDA-approved at-home sleep testing kits, allowing patients to conduct a thorough evaluation over five nights in the comfort of their own homes. This eliminates the barriers of traditional in-clinic testing, making the process more accessible.
Patients can schedule virtual consultations with sleep specialists, who review test results and develop personalised treatment plans to ensure timely and effective care.
The programme also includes comprehensive treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs. These may involve CPAP therapy or custom-made oral appliances designed to address OSA.
Additionally, the partnership will allow remote patient monitoring and ongoing support, enabling continuous oversight of patients’ progress. Through Dentulu’s integrated platform, patients can easily communicate with their care teams, ensuring they stay on track with their treatment plans and receive timely intervention when necessary.
Dentulu CEO Arash Hakhamian said: “By partnering with Happy Sleep, we are making it easier for patients to receive the care they need at their convenience while integrating cutting-edge technology for enhanced diagnostics and personalised treatments.”
In October this year, Happy Health partnered with EnsoData to simplify at-home diagnosis and monitoring of patients with sleep apnoea.
