Healthcare technology provider Casect has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced case log platform for surgeons and medical professionals.

The HIPAA-compliant platform, designed to be user-friendly, allows users to document and track surgical cases, refine techniques, organise references, and collaborate with colleagues.

According to Casect, the platform is intended to replace traditional notebooks, spreadsheets, and outdated case logs. It aims to serve the surgical community, helping professionals focus on growth, learning, and patient care excellence.

The healthcare technology firm said that surgeons need their time for patient care, but traditional documentation methods like handwritten notes and spreadsheets often waste valuable hours.

Casect’s platform, with a no-data retention policy for protected health information, uses optional AI to pre-fill case details, analyse uploads, and organise data quickly. This cuts down documentation time, allowing surgeons to refine their skills and enhance patient outcomes.

It also enables detailed documentation of cases, techniques, and references, accessible from any computer or mobile device with a subscription.

In addition, the platform offers AI-assisted case entry to speed up input, or users can add details manually, supporting spreadsheet uploads. Casect allows for customisable fields to track cases in a personalised way.

Surgeons can create, document, and improve surgical techniques while uploading, organising, and accessing photos, videos, and documents with ease.

References can be annotated, marked up, and securely stored, and cases and techniques can be shared effortlessly with colleagues.

The platform also provides insights through data analysis and the option to export data as a CSV file. Furthermore, the AI platform ensures the security and confidentiality of all protected health information.

In a similar development, in October, Visionet Ventures launched Reteta, an AI-powered clinical care application to automate medical documentation and improve patient care delivery.
