US-based patient monitoring solutions provider AvaSure has acquired Ouva’s smart room solutions to advance its AI-powered virtual care solutions for hospitals.
The acquisition is expected to expand the ambient AI capabilities of AvaSure’s Intelligent Virtual Care Platform and double its in-house AI engineering resources.
AvaSure said its partner hospitals can benefit from a wide range of AI capabilities that improve patient safety, patient flow, staff rounding, and mobility monitoring, along with insights.
These advancements set new standards in AI-enhanced patient care, safety, and efficiency.

The company’s AI platform helps eliminate redundant observations, prioritises patients in need, and improves overall workforce efficiency.
Ouva developed the comprehensive, enterprise-ready platform for the seamless deployment of AI at scale, based on several years of peer-reviewed clinical collaborations.
The acquisition builds on a partnership between AvaSure and Ouva initiated last year to integrate Ouva’s AI capabilities with the AvaSure Intelligent Virtual Care Platform.
With its smart room solutions sold to AvaSure, Ouva will continue to operate its paediatric and wayfinding businesses.
