US-based community healthcare services provider Ardent Health has selected Qventus’ Perioperative Solution to optimise its robotics programme and enhance its surgical growth.
Qventus is a California-based provider of AI-based software solutions that automate care operations for both operation room (OR) and inpatient settings.
Its unique solution optimises surgeries by intelligently marketing OR time to surgeons based on strategic objectives and personalised surgeon patterns.
Ardent is looking to solve common OR efficiency challenges, including underuse and misuse of capacity in perioperative care, which create months of delays in receiving care.
Qventus said its Perioperative Solution uses AI, machine learning, and behavioural science, to help its partners deliver life-saving surgeries to patients sooner.
Qventus CEO and co-founder Mudit Garg said: “I am proud of the impact our Perioperative Solution has had for Ardent, from driving strategic surgical volume to making the lives of schedulers easier to improving patient access to surgery.
“Leveraging our 10+ years of experience building AI solutions for healthcare, and our ability to layer claims data on top of a hospital’s EHR data, Qventus can uniquely drive exponential growth for our customers – in the areas that are meaningful to them – as we did for Ardent.”
Qventus said its AI solution works by prioritising strategic cases to enhance the total case volume by backfilling open time while also prioritising minimally invasive robotics cases.
The solution leverages AI to predict unused block time and help surgeons release it early.
It strategically advertises relevant and valuable open time slots based on surgeon preferences, historical data, and facility capabilities, and provides access to surgeons.
The solution also provides actionable market insights, powered by billions of claims data, which will help Ardent with the information needed to engage independent surgeon practices.
Furthermore, Ardent selected Qventus after testing other software solutions in the market, based on its ability to provide customised insights about the health systems’ communities.
Ardent Health chief medical information officer Brad Hoyt said: “Ardent actively looks for new ways to support surgeons’ and frontline team members’ ability to ensure patients in our communities have access to the surgeries they need in a timely manner.
“As minimally invasive IT, Qventus software has made it exponentially easier for our team to book surgeries at the best time for our clinicians and in the most appropriate and convenient setting for patients.”
