DonorConnect, InVita Healthcare Technologies, and Specialist Direct have collaborated to automate diagnostic test reporting for organ donation.
The partners have launched a new interoperability solution for organ evaluation.
The new telepathology interface is expected to save critical hours and strengthen patient safety. The advanced data exchange approach eliminates the need for manual retrieval and transcription of biopsy results for organ procurement organisations (OPOs).
Additionally, it ensures real-time and secure delivery of results and source file attachments directly into the iTransplant System, InVita’s electronic donor management platform.

According to InVita, this interoperability enhances the efficiency of the organ allocation and recovery process.
It instantly delivers kidney and liver biopsy results to DonorConnect’s iTransplant System along with automated result notifications.
Furthermore, it ensures that Transplant Centers receive immediate and reliable information crucial for evaluating and accepting organ donation for their patients.
