US-based ophthalmology services firm SightMD, through its unit SightMD Connecticut, has acquired Doctor & Associates, a provider of advanced eye care services in Fairfield County.
Doctor & Associates has been providing ophthalmic services from three locations, including Westport, Wilton, and Norwalk.
It is led by a team of ophthalmologists and technical staff providing superior quality care in a comfortable, patient-focused environment.
The acquisition brings three physicians from Doctor & Associates to SightMD Connecticut, Leslie Doctor, Spiro Combest, and Michael Bautista.
The transaction would provide the most convenient, compassionate, and comprehensive vision care across the southern Connecticut region, said SightMD.

Leslie Doctor is a board-certified ophthalmologist specialising in Cataract, Cornea, and LASIK surgery, and an associate clinical professor at Yale University School of Medicine.
Spiro Combest is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and eye surgeon, with expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye diseases.
Michael Bautista is also a comprehensive ophthalmologist dedicated to providing care for patients of all ages, focusing on ocular health and vision correction.
SightMD said that the transaction will benefit patients of Doctor & Associates from SightMD Connecticut’s expansive resources across multiple locations across the state.
The resources include access to advanced technologies and a seamless care network.
SightMD Connecticut is looking to add interested ophthalmology professionals to its team.
