Agiliti, a provider of essential services, has launched the Adapt Line of therapeutic hospital support surfaces to improve patient comfort and clinical outcomes.
Adapt Line is designed to reduce the risk of pressure injuries from extended bed rest. Clinically engineered for healthcare settings, the surfaces offer improved care for patients.
The Adapt Line range includes three models, Adapt Air Pro, Adapt Air, and Adapt Convertible, each designed for patients with varying acuity levels.
These models prioritise optimal pressure injury prevention and treatment, utilising proprietary immersion and alternating pressure algorithms.
Agiliti said that a recent clinical study involving 84 critically ill patients showed that 100% of clinicians recommended the Adapt Air Pro for its ease of use, effective pressure distribution management, and microclimate control.
The Adapt Line offers several key features designed to enhance patient care.
The Adapt Pump is a quiet, easy-to-use pump compatible with all models, ensuring surface inflation during transport and offering up to eight customisable support levels for better patient outcomes.
Its Next-Gen Microclimate Management includes a specially formulated top cover fabric, AirSpace mesh, and the Adapt Pump, providing continuous, targeted airflow beneath the patient/surface interface.
The proprietary CoreShield in the Adapt Convertible foam-based model includes a waterproof top cover and RF-welded seams, delivering superior durability, fluid resistance, and increased infection prevention.
In addition, the Capacity Expansion feature allows for customisable length, width, and weight capacity, using the patented technology.
Furthermore, the Vertical Cell Technology in the Adapt Air Pro features 20 eight-inch air cells that maximise immersion and envelopment.
The medical device solutions provider said that this design offers more immersion compared to similar six-inch surfaces, providing two clinically effective pressure redistribution therapies for better patient comfort and pressure injury prevention.
Agiliti CEO Tom Leonard said: “The introduction of the Adapt Line marks a significant milestone for Agiliti, establishing its position as a branded innovator of medical technology.
“We are now one of the only manufacturers of therapeutic support surfaces backed by an extensible platform of medical device management, maintenance and clinical service solutions.”
In addition to its manufactured lines of beds and therapeutic support surfaces, Agiliti offers rapid access, management, and maintenance of life-saving medical equipment across medical, surgical, and procedural spaces.
These solutions help clinicians enhance patient care while improving efficiency within healthcare networks.
