The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), now known as UR Medicine, has opened a $25m outpatient medical facility in Geneseo, New York, designed as a convenient, comprehensive destination for primary care, speciality services, labs, and outpatient procedures.
Situated next to the UR Medicine Noyes Health Services building, which has long served patients on East South Street, the two facilities together form the Geneseo Medical Campus. This campus now meets virtually all ambulatory care needs for patients in Geneseo and surrounding areas.
The new 45,000ft2 facility consolidates various UR Medicine outpatient services previously located across Geneseo, while also introducing new offerings, such as Urology; Paediatric and Adult Allergy services; and outpatient procedures for Urology and ENT. Additionally, it includes an optical shop.
Speciality services relocated to the new building include Primary Care – Geneseo, Labs Patient Service Center, Cardiology, ENT, Audiology, Flaum Eye Institute, Orthopaedics and Podiatry (starting in 2025), and Paediatric and Adult Allergy (beginning in 2025).
Located at 48 East South Street, the new building stands adjacent to Noyes Health Services, which provides urgent care, same-day surgery, Imaging, Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy, and additional services.
Strong Memorial and Highland hospitals president and CEO Kathy Parrinello said: “The new Geneseo building is a great addition to our regional network of ambulatory facilities and hospitals that provide comprehensive, close-to-home medical care to patients throughout the Finger Lakes region.
“Co-locating multiple speciality services, plus diagnostic services like clinical labs and imaging in one setting is convenient for patients and a highly efficient way for us to deliver care. The services in the new site build on the great services Noyes Hospital has been offering patients for many years.
“Establishing advanced ambulatory facilities like this in the region also helps us recruit providers and staff from these areas who want to pursue their medical careers close to home and provide care to people in their communities.”
The UR Medicine Geneseo campus has secured $1.5m in federal funding to support equipment upgrades at the Noyes Health Services facility, enhancing and expanding its service offerings.
