Health Catalyst, a provider of data and analytics technology and services for healthcare organisations, has partnered with CyncHealth, the designated statewide health information exchange (HIE) for Iowa in the US.
Through the partnership, CyncHealth will enhance its capability to deliver comprehensive and timely patient health information to healthcare providers.
By collaborating with Health Catalyst, CyncHealth aims to improve the quality of care within its network, leveraging Health Catalyst’s data and analytics expertise alongside the interoperability of Ninja Universe.
Ninja Universe, an end-to-end cloud-native platform, is part of Health Catalyst’s next-generation Ignite data and analytics ecosystem and includes applications specifically designed for HIEs.
Health Catalyst will use Ninja Universe to efficiently parse data, facilitating the accurate, timely, and secure transfer of essential Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs).
The CCDs summarise patient health information from various healthcare entities within the CyncHealth network, supporting coordinated and informed patient care.

CCDs offer a standardised format for health data exchange, enabling healthcare providers across various systems to access and interpret critical patient information effectively.
This secure data exchange is essential for coordinated care, particularly when a patient is consulting multiple specialists or moving between different care settings.
