Nordic, a health and technology consulting firm, and BeeKeeperAI, a provider of privacy-enhancing collaboration software for AI development, have collaborated to introduce RightAI, an end-to-end solution for biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies, healthcare firms, and physicians.
RightAI is designed to support the development, validation, and deployment of AI-based clinical decision support system (CDSS) tools within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
The goal of RightAI is to help physicians improve patient outcomes by using integrated CDSS tools within EHRs and identifying patients who are suitable candidates for clinical trials.
The solution aims to address the challenges of making precise clinical decisions due to the complexity of individual patient characteristics, chronic conditions, and biological factors.
The collaboration between biopharmaceutical, medical technology companies, and healthcare systems seeks to establish a new standard of personalised care, enabling the delivery of novel therapies and better aligning care with patients’ health goals.
By harnessing data at the point of care, RightAI aims to transform care delivery and optimise treatment plans for patients.
Nordic chief medical officer Craig Joseph said: “By embracing AI in healthcare, we are transforming how care is delivered and setting a new standard for patient-centred, personalised, and efficient care.
“Our partnership with BeeKeeperAI and the integration of RightAI into the EHR allows us to introduce AI models that create real-world impact and drive better patient outcomes.”
In addition to unlocking data insights and enabling more precise therapeutic decisions by clinicians, RightAI aims to accelerate the time-to-market for AI developers creating CDSS and other machine learning solutions for healthcare.
Biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies working on therapies for complex diseases can use RightAI to develop CDSS tools based on real-world data, allowing them to quickly achieve real-world impact.
BeeKeeperAI co-founder and CEO Michael Blum said: “Together with Nordic, BeeKeeperAI’s privacy enhancing platform can address the last mile of AI/machine learning-based CDSS: real-world deployment and ongoing monitoring for performance drift. The ability to develop and deploy solutions in real-world settings enhances and accelerates the impact of CDSS.”
“Instead of taking years to achieve impact, RightAI will enable CDSS to impact patient outcomes in a matter of months from the start of development to impact. This acceleration will enable life-changing therapies to reach patients more quickly, fulfilling the promise of healthcare AI.”
Dr Joseph added: “Following the guiding principles of clinical decision support, RightAI brings the right information to the right provider in the right format through the right channels at the right time to help clinicians improve the precision of their treatment decisions for their patients.”
