ResMed, a health tech company focused on sleep and breathing solutions, has launched new digital, and patient-centred products for sleep apnoea treatment.

The products are designed to work with digital wearables and generative artificial intelligence (AI) to create a personalised sleep health experience and improve overall well-being.

San Diego-based ResMed said the digital wearables provide consumers instant access to sleep and health insights. This valuable information helps them collaborate with healthcare providers.

The latest innovations are based on user needs, offering personalised sleep pattern insights and flexibility for maintaining sleep therapy, the company said.

ResMed chief medical officer Carlos Nunez said: “We know that digital wearables and other innovative technologies like AI can help consumers better understand their sleep habits and create a personalised pathway to better rest.

“Regular sleep tracking can offer crucial insights that empower people to make informed decisions about improving their sleep quality both now and in the future.”

The health technology company has added new patient engagement features for the ResMed myAir App. The app empowers patients to stay engaged with their continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.

New features include the myAir smartwatch app to monitor their therapy data, and a sleep staging option to integrate sleep stage data from Apple Health and Health Connect.

The app also offers personalised coaching, delivering customised tips and strategies based on behavioural science and machine learning.

Additionally, the myAir app provides a holistic view of health by consolidating various data points in one place, alongside CPAP therapy data.

The health tech firm has also launched its new AI-enabled health concierge, Dawn.

Dawn offers instant, 24/7 access to answers about sleep health, ResMed products, and CPAP therapy support.

With Generative AI, the health concierge delivers personalised guidance and connects users with the information they need in real-time.

Concurrently, ResMed introduced the LUXE range of tote bags and backpacks for frequent travellers. These bags help the user maintain their CPAP therapy on the go.

In a separate development, the company unveiled the AirTouch N30i, a new CPAP mask. The product is designed for a natural and comfortable sleep experience.

The AirTouch N30i features a fabric-wrapped frame that is said to be soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking. This ensures optimal comfort with a tube-up design.
