Pristine Surgical, a medical device firm focused on endoscopy, has selected AcuityMD’s commercial intelligence platform to launch its Summit single-use arthroscope.

Pristine Surgical has already initiated a limited market release of the Summit.

Following this initial phase, the company has partnered with AcuityMD to facilitate a full-scale launch targeting ambulatory surgery centres (ASCs).

Summit, a first-of-its-kind technology, secured US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in January 2023.

The single-use surgical arthroscope combines a 4K single-use surgical arthroscope with cloud-based software, Pristine Connect, to deliver a high-definition image.

ASCs surgeons have found that Summit addresses challenges like minimising the risk of repairs and failures that could disrupt surgical schedules.

Pristine Surgical required in-depth insights into this market to craft an effective go-to-market strategy.

AcuityMD’s data-driven platform provided valuable information by identifying surgeons with the highest arthroscopic volume and key opinion leaders.

This enabled Pristine Surgical to introduce Summit to the broader market quickly and effectively, highlighting priority opportunities for its sales team.

Pristine Surgical’s single-use endoscope eliminates the need for costly equipment purchases and avoids hidden costs related to maintenance and sterilisation.

In addition, AcuityMD’s platform will support Pristine Surgical’s sales and marketing as they prepare to enter the laparoscopy and flexible endoscopy markets in 2025.

The platform helps them understand these new markets and develop an effective commercialisation strategy.
