Waltz Health, a digital health innovator focused on advancing the way medications are priced, distributed, and prescribed, has launched the Waltz Connect solution.
The new end-to-end Waltz Connect platform is designed to oversee every facet of speciality medication coverage for payers.
It features proprietary technology, patient engagement support, and a dynamic marketplace where a network of speciality pharmacies competes based on price, service quality, and clinical outcomes.
Waltz Connect provides payers with transparency by fostering competition among speciality pharmacies. Designed to lower speciality costs, enhance member experience, and achieve better health outcomes, the solution offers flexibility in deployment.
Payers can implement it across their entire speciality-drug formulary, focus on specific drug classes, or target individual medications, Waltz Health said.
The foundation of Waltz Connect is Waltz Health’s Intelligent Specialty Engine, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered prescription routing tool.
The engine identifies the optimal speciality pharmacy option based on the criteria chosen by each payer.

Waltz Connect improves efficiency by streamlining the speciality prescription process. When a prescription is submitted, the system reroutes it to the best pharmacy based on the member’s benefit design and factors like price, turnaround time, and service quality.
It allows adjustments by drug class or specific medications, ensuring members get their prescriptions filled without discomfort.
The system also gathers all necessary details for a smooth experience, including the member’s condition, prescription status, pharmacy contact info, and expected fulfilment times.
Additionally, Waltz Health announced that speciality pharmacy firm Reliance Rx has joined the Waltz Connect programme.
The partnership is expected to provide payers with a high-performance, cost-efficient fulfilment option for generic medications.
