US-based Paragon Genomics has teamed up with UK-based reseller Biosecure ID to distribute its CleanPlex family of products and technology in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Biosecure ID is the for-profit division of Science Social for Good CIC, a not-for-profit organisation focused on expanding access to genetic research and testing services.
Paragon Genomics is a provider of amplicon-based target enrichment solutions for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and precision medicine.
Its CleanPlex is a unique, ultra-high multiplexed target enrichment technology intended for NGS-based assays used in research and diagnostic testing.
The technology provides single-cell level direct amplification sensitivity and makes it possible to include a large number of genomic targets in a single assay.
It features an advanced, in-house multiplex PCR primer design algorithm, a uniform multiplex PCR amplification chemistry and a patented background cleaning chemistry.

The CleanPlex technology delivers more accurate variant calling and lower sequencing costs building on its high amplification uniformity and low PCR background noise.
The assay can be easily automated based on its single-tube format and three-hour workflow.
It is compatible with difficult samples and major sequencing platforms, including Illumina, Ion Torrent, MGI DNBSeq and Singular Genomics.
Paragon Genomics’ distribution partnership with Biosecure ID follows a similar partnership with Genique Lifesciences and Synergy Scientific for distribution in India.
It has also partnered with JB Scientific for distribution in Pakistan, MedAxs for Saudi Arabia, Separations for Africa, Caipro International for Panama and Elta 90 MS for Serbia.
